About the Course
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is an undergraduate degree course in computer application affiliated to CCS University, Meerut. With the rapid growth of IT industry in India, the demand for computer professional is increasing day by day. This increasing growth of IT industry has created a lot of opportunities for the computer graduates.
Bachelor in Computer Application (BCA) is one of the popular courses among the students who want to make their career in the IT (Information Technology) field. The duration of the course is 3 years and it is divided into 6 semesters. It comprises of the subjects like database, networking, data structure, core programming languages like 'C' and 'java'. This course provides a lot of opportunities to the students who are interested in computer field and wants to work in the IT sector as programmer or software developer.
In BCA course students have to study a set of core courses and two concurrent courses out of which one is a language paper. In BCA Course equal emphasis is given to both theory and practical papers. Practical work in laboratory forms an integral part of BCA curriculum. The course delivery methods include classroom discussion, lectures, seminars, group and individual projects, practical in the laboratory. As part of the course requirement, students also have to submit a project report in the final year of BCA.
Eligibility Criteria
The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) Intermediate in any stream with 45% marks or more marks and Mathematics must be a subject in 10th class. 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates in passing marks of class XII. Candidate has to register him or her self for admission with CCS University on www.ccsuweb.in to be eligible for admission.
