MBA (Master of Business Administration)
2 Years full time Degree Programme Master of Business Administration
Approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) Ministry of HRD, Government of India and affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow The M.B.A. course aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the business, industry and trade so that they can function in different organizations and face the challenges arising therefrom.
The course not only aims at providing knowledge and skills in different areas of management, but also provides inputs necessary for the overall development of the personality of the students.
The structure of the course is designed in a way that students have to study the core courses from different functional areas of management that are made compulsory. Later on, specialization are offered in functional areas where the students can opt for two specializations out of the six offered : Marketing, Finance, IT, HR, Oprations and International Business and right from the beginning of the course, the focus is on providing relevant input through case discussion/ analysis, simulations games, role plays etc. keeping in mind the current business scenario.
The Teaching Pedagogy
To provide an academic environment to the students, which will inspire them to realize their full potential and contribute to the development of society.
The Case Study Method
The case method stimulates the intellect and enhances intellectual capabilities. Case discussions are supplemented with lectures, seminars, games, role-plays, industrial visits and group exercises. The case method is utilized to develop decision making and problem solving skills by analysing real problems.
Project Work
The students are supposed to work independently or in groups on given projects. Learning to work with peers provides a unique opportunity for accelerated professional and personal growth. Group projects help students to develop and refine skills. The groups are formed from pools of varied disciplines, backgrounds and corporate experience to leverage and improve the cultural diversity.
Summer Internship
After completion of two semesters in the first year, the students undergo summer training of 6-8 weeks and submit a detailed project report. Students have to make a formal presentation to the Institute Jury on the project, which may include experts from industry/ academics. This activity provides an opportunity to work with reputed companies from various sectors where they get to put their ideas and skills to work.
Industrial Visit
Industrial visit is organised students on regular basis which give opportunity to students to know about the concered identify its products, ists opretions, Marketing Etc.
Extra Curricular Activities
IMR is a modern business school, equipped with modern facilities designed to suit the needs of all students. Spacious classrooms as well as modern library facilities and computer labs provide students with the environment they need to succeed academically, and to develop skills they will use for their entire lives. We fully understand the importance of extra-curricular activities in the overall personality development of the students, hence the campus is designed to support diverse out-of classroom activities as well. The Institute offers lots of extra-curricular activities as given below:
Club Activities
IMR has established number of clubs to provide the opportunity to the students to learn while doing in informal environment including Marketing Club, HR Club, Finance Club, Cultural Club etc. These clubs harness the organization ability, team spirit and application ability of the students through the number of activities organized including mock trail, debate, role playing and language clubs.
HR Club
HR Club An Organization consists of a team and the success of the same depends on its members. Success of members is determined by the level of understanding exhibited with other team mates. The game shows the integration and coordination among the group members. The more is the integration and coordination, the more successful it will be.
Marketing Club
This club brings together some of the brightest minds, interested in exploring the ever changing dynamics of marketing. The club aims at keeping students abreast with the latest trends in marketing while integrating the vast experience of students across functions and industries such as Advertising, Research, Sales, Branding Communication and Digital Marketing to name a few citations. It ensures that the students are better prepared to handle the complications and challenges of the outside world.
Sports and Games
Games are essential for the students for their physical as well as mental fitness we have number of indoor and outdoor facilities such as Chess, Carom, Badminton, Cricket, Football, Volley Ball, Hockey, Tracks, Athletes and so on.
Art
IMR organizes activities to bring out the creativity of the students through the various events in the field of Music, Dance, Painting, Photography, Creative writing and other creative endeavours
Community activity
Community outreach, helping the adult education, organizing, for summer camps, event organizing, festival celebrations, tree plantation and so on.
Hobbies
Students are encouraged to be creative and innovative. Passions are taken care of for example, collecting Business Articles, Blogging, Online Journalism, Creative Writing, Internet Surfing, This shows that students have interests outsides of the classroom also.
Mentoring & Guidance
Institute patronize students from diverse cultures and community. Many of them live far from their home. We provide an exclusive counsellor to every student. The counsellor interacts with the students to understand their institutional and personal issues and help them to overcome the issues emotionally or otherwise.
